Notifications and emails

In-app lead alerts, the emails Liyobot sends you, and the emails your visitors can receive.

Liyobot lets you know when something important happens, mainly when a new lead comes in. You get alerts in the dashboard, and emails for leads, form submissions, your account and your plan. Your visitors can receive emails too, if you switch those features on. This page explains each one and how to control them.

In-app notifications#

In the dashboardWorkspace›Notifications

The Notifications page lists new leads captured across all your chatbots. A red badge next to Notifications in the main menu shows how many are unread (up to 99+); it refreshes every minute.

  • Opening the Notifications page marks everything as read. You can also click Mark all read.
  • Click a notification to jump straight to that chatbot’s Leads page.
  • A notification such as “New lead on <chatbot>” is created whenever a visitor answers your pre-chat fields or shares their details during a chat.
Note
In-app notifications are always on. Even if you turn off lead emails, every new lead still appears here and in Leads.

Choosing where lead emails go#

In the dashboardChatbots›Your chatbot›Set up›Basics

Each chatbot has its own lead email settings:

  • Email me new leads at — the address that receives lead alerts. If you leave it empty, alerts go to the first active member of your organisation.
  • Email me when a lead comes in — on by default. Covers pre-chat forms and details captured mid-conversation. Untick it to stop lead emails for this chatbot.

Form submissions are emailed separately, to the addresses set in each form’s Email submissions to field. See Forms and bookings.

Your email preferences#

In the dashboardOrganisation›Account›Notifications

Your personal preferences apply to you only, across every chatbot:

  1. Open Account

In the main menu under Organisation, click Account, then the Notifications tab.

  2. Choose your settings

New-lead email alerts — turn off to get lead alerts in the dashboard only. Product & marketing emails — turn off to stop product news.

Tip
If you turn off New-lead email alerts, you won’t receive lead emails even when your address is the chatbot’s lead alert address. That’s worth checking if lead emails seem to have stopped.

Emails your visitors can receive#

Visitors only get emails from features you turn on, and only if they gave an email address:

EmailWhen it's sentHow to turn it on
Chat transcriptWhen the visitor clicks ✉ Email me a copy at the end of a chat.Turn on Let visitors email themselves the transcript in End of chat.
Form confirmationAfter the visitor submits a form.Turn on Send the visitor a confirmation email in the form’s settings. The form needs an Email field.
