Liyobot puts an AI chatbot on your website that answers visitors’ questions using your own content, and turns those conversations into leads you can follow up. This page walks through the whole journey once, end to end, so you know how the pieces fit before you dive into the details.

Each step is covered below, with links to the page that explains it in full.
Each step in a little more detail#
1. Your content
The bot knows only what you teach it. You can add your website (Liyobot scans it and lets you choose which pages to include), upload PDF, Word and text files, or paste text such as a refund policy. See Knowledge base, Add your website and Files and text.
2. Liyobot reads and indexes it
Liyobot reads each source and breaks it into small passages it can search quickly. Website sources can refresh automatically every day, week or month, so answers stay current when your site changes. If your site has jobs, products or properties, Liyobot can also detect them as listings. Read Keeping knowledge up to date and Listings.
3. A visitor asks on your site
You paste one line of code on your website and lock the chatbot to your own domain. Visitors then see a chat launcher in the corner of every page. See Add the chatbot to your website and Your website (allowed domain).
4. The bot finds passages and writes an answer
When a visitor asks something, Liyobot searches your knowledge for the most relevant passages, and the AI writes a reply using only those passages. The reply streams in word by word. If the answer isn’t in your content, the bot says it doesn’t know and suggests contacting you rather than guessing. Full details in How the bot answers.
5. Lead captured or form submitted
Contact details come from your pre-chat fields, or are picked up automatically when a visitor types an email address or phone number during the chat. The bot can also run a form to take a booking or enquiry, then email you the details.
6. You follow up in the dashboard
Every conversation lands in Leads, where you can read the transcript, mark it qualified, tag it and export to Excel. You also get an in-app notification and, if you choose, an email for each new lead. See Leads and conversations and Notifications and emails.
What visitors see#
Here is a visitor’s experience from start to finish, and where you control each part.
